Enfield is a sizable town and former parish in the ceremonial county of Greater London and the historic county of Middlesex in north London, England. The centre of it is located 10.1 miles to the northeast of Charing Cross.
Enfield entered the Greater London conurbation in 1965 as a result of the London Government Act of 1963. Enfield was once a hamlet in Middlesex dating back to the Early Middle Ages.
